L‘âme d‘Entrevaux
Est-ce qu‘Entrevaux a une âme ? Si oui, à quoi ressemblerait-elle ? Les humains ont une âme. Mais où va l‘âme quand la vie s‘en va ? Un être humain est vivant tant qu‘il respire. Par conséquent, l‘âme est dans le souffle. Mais le monde doit aussi avoir une âme, car on peut la sentir comme le vent sur notre peau. Telle a été la thèse de mon projet à Entrevaux.
Et j‘ai trouvé le souffle d‘Entrevaux, j‘ai exploré l‘âme du lieu et j‘ai trouvé encore plus : l‘intemporalité.
The Soul of Entrevaux
Does Entrevaux have a soul? If so, what would it look like? Humans have a soul. But where does the soul go when life has gone away? A human being is alive as long as a human being is breathing. Accordingly, the soul is in the breath. But the world must also have a soul, because it can be felt as the wind on our skin. This has been the thesis of my project in Entrevaux.
And I found Entrevaux‘s breath, I explored the soul of the place and I found even more: timelessness.

Le souffle d‘Entrevaux
The short film is a work created during an artist-in-residency at the Spread Museum in Entrevaux, France. It describes the breathing soul of a small medieval village in Provance. This work was realised with the support of the Spread Museum, Visual Arts Agency France VAAF, Alberto Torri, Maroussia Mbaye, Chiara Valci Mazzara and the wonderful people of Entrevaux. ©2021

Found Objects in Entrevaux that began to speak
Found a laundry clip that whispered and raved to the following:
„I held her nightgowns, her stockings, her dresses. I think back to her with pleasure. The blue dress suited her so well.“
And I found millions of years today! The fossil talked very fast:
„I have so much to say.“
While walking, I saw these glasses and I heard the glasses say:
„I saw her but then, soon I forgot about her. She disappeared from my mind. I was no longer thinking about her. Thought no more about her. Thought no more of her…..“
Today I found a grocery list. The paper whispered and giggled the following: „I am the reminder of the anticipation for the wonderful evening with her.“
I had a day off.
The object of the day is just a visitor and comes from a Mademoiselle who left it in my place. The object sings quite cheerfully: „Only those who guess what I represent will have a wish granted, tralala.“
The object of the day is a door thing that murmurs: „I have seen them all come and go.“
Today I found the bottom of a red wine bottle. The shard whispers:
„I brought lightness to both hearts so they could come closer.“
I found a walnut shell that told me very proudly: „My insides have become part of the most delicious walnut cake she could bake and now I‘m preparing to become a boat.“
During a walk, I found 2 stones that made me a little paranoid. Now they are with me in the residence and still chattering: „We see you! We see you! We see youhouuu!“
Today I found nothing. But the nothing said: „Actually, I am everything.“
Today Madame Zielonka found an antique piece of iron that murmured to her: „Once I adorned the harness of a noble knight‘s horse.“
Found a brave blue wire today that spoke: „I won‘t be bent anymore!“
In this place I found a knife under the olive trees that seemed lost and it said: „I was so tired from work and slept a long time.“
I was found by a friendly person: „How nice and fast the mood can change just by coincidence.“
I took three of the coloured stones with me from a Mars-like place, because the stones made me aware of the following: „If you open your eyes without fear, reality is more surreal than all surreal paintings together.“
Up on the citadel, a chattering hairclip awaited us, saying: „I once belonged to a loving wife whose husband was a soldier here in 1494. I was the memory of his wife‘s beautiful hair in whose strands of hair he loved to play in the morning while she was still asleep.“
In one of the olive trees, an Asian chopstick rested and spoke with a strong accent: „One day it will all make sense.“
Today I found houses that spoke to me: „Don‘t miss the time to get into the real estate business“
I found 3 luminous stones that yipped: „Disco!“
A closet sharnir lay on the path and said: „I am looking for my counterpart.“
