Artist Statement:
My work deals with the Greek term „Pneuma“. Pneuma can be translated as „breath“, „air“ and more broadly formulated as „soul“.
In the mining region of Silesia, I asked myself: if the breath has the meaning of “soul”, how paradoxically does this view appear from the viewpoint of coal mining?

Moja praca dotyczy greckiego określenia „Pneuma“. Pneuma można przetłumaczyć jako „oddech“, „powietrze“ i bardziej ogólnie sformułowane jako „dusza“.
W górniczym regionie Śląska zadałem sobie pytanie: czy oddech ma sens „duszy“, jak paradoksalnie wygląda to z punktu widzenia wydobycia węgla?
